News from 2nd Class
Our final term in Second Class was truly fantastic! Here is a little snapshot of the last few weeks, many more photos can be viewed on our X page – @MsOlsonsClass.
We had an absolutely scorcher of a day for our First Holy Communion! It was a beautiful service and everyone was so proud of us! In maths we learnt about data, pattern, area and location and transformation! We had a very interesting history workshop from an archaeologist called Frankie before our school fundraiser whereby we wore colourful t shirts and had ice pops!
We were delighted for and so proud of three members of our class who received a special merit and two letters of commendation in the Texaco Art Competition for their fabulous drawings. We attended a very entertaining workshop with author and illustrator Alan Nolan in Shankill library. We had a jam packed Active Schools Week with Sports Day, Judo, football with Stephanie Roche and tag rugby. We enjoyed our wellbeing day by dancing in the lines, showing our parents our work and playing games with them, relaxing in yoga, dancing with Ms. Casey and having a picnic in the sun!
We did lots of lovely artwork and had great fun with the parachute and to top it all off we had the most amazing school tour to Fort Lucan! What a wonderful year it’s been, wishing everyone a lovely summer break!
